Músicas y Danzas Tradicionales Latinoamericanas en Europa

Sustainable management of cultural heritage for development

"Spaces of promotion and diffusion directed to the Latin American communities and their talented artists"

This project aims to open spaces for promotion and dissemination focused on the preservation and regeneration of the cultural heritage of different Latin American communities, presenting the work of outstanding artists outside its continent.

Goals:

  • To disseminate traditional Latin American music in Europe as a way for the regeneration of the intangible heritage of our countries, enhancement of cultural diversity in Europe and Latin American presence abroad.
  • To recover the know-how of Latin American artists who carry in their music, their traditional instruments, their dances and costumes the cultural and identity message of their places of belonging, in areas violated by social problems, poverty and conflict, which Has been replacing a language of violence that affects the new generations in their social interaction.

Strategis:

We organize and promote, together with local associations and artistic groups in France, Switzerland and other European countries, the presentation of Latin American artistic groups in different public forums: cultural associations, theaters, parks and squares.

These meetings are at the same time opportunities to realize a market of cultural products, handicrafts and gastronomy, where artists and consumers exchange diverse information about the region and share about the social problems facing their localities, but also about the historical wealth, the Traditions and customs.

Results:

Our actions have a two-way impact: on the one hand the public has access to new artistic expressions from different regions to those they know, where culture acts to promote dialogue and to approach the vision of the other. For artists, this experience contributes to the restoration of the identity of their localities, by revaluing their work and making them part of a process of integration and community cohesion.

At the same time, our actions aim to promote cultural diversity in the world, to avoid the exclusion of fragile sectors of the world population, to support artists to ensure the continuity of their work and to avoid the loss of interest of the new generations in artistic expressions Of your community.
